




These batteries have proved to be ideal for use in racing and rally cars. Lightweight, maintenance free and with an exceptionally high discharge capability, Spider batteries can be fitted either upright or on their side and will not leak acid, even when damaged. The thin plate technology used in these batteries offers superior performance and reliability and is frequently specified for the most critical standby power systems. It packs more power in less space (up to 30% more than conventional valve regulated batteries using lead-calcium grids). High discharge currents are possible over short periods and the design is particularly resilient to abuse. Enhanced float cycling is also an important feature of the design together with a fast recharge capability without the need to increase the charge voltage.
